M42 The Great Orion Nebula

M42 The Great Orion Nebula is the brightest of the Nebulae in our night sky. It is located within the spiral
arm of the Milkyway that is opposite the core of the galaxy from our night time perspective.
It is located in the constellation of Orion in the sword area below the belt and is about 1334 light years away.
This image is composed of 22 10minute exposures shot with QHY8 CCD Camera, and Orion 190mm
Maksutov Newtonian from my backyard observatory in San Antonio, Texas during the early hours 10/26/14.
